The Youth Entrepreneur Experience Workshop, promoted in collaboration between TOP-BOSS International and Chihlee University of Technology, has entered its third year. The event aims to provide high school students with a preliminary understanding of the business world through an entertaining and educational approach, igniting their interest in exploring their aptitudes and financial literacy. This year’s workshop introduced a new “Teacher Training” segment, aiming to share and build students’ dreams of entrepreneurship and joyful learning with more teachers.
This year’s workshop attracted teachers from 8 schools and nearly 50 students, and it was held on the afternoon of July 31. The event featured three task stages, with students from the Department of Information Management at Chihlee University of Technology acting as team assistants to help participants gain a basic understanding of store management, income and costs, and accounting principles. Although the workshop lasted only half a day, student feedback during the closing ceremony indicated that they had gained a lot. Some students realized that making money and being a boss is not easy, but the event helped them understand that a thorough knowledge of the market, management, and finance is essential before starting a business. It is hoped that the students who gained insights from this workshop will apply what they have learned to embark on their entrepreneurial journeys in the future.
