In order to help young students understand and learn basic business knowledge, get a firsthand experience of the internal operations of a retail store, develop management and leadership skills, and ignite their interest in entrepreneurship and business, the 2023 National Youth Entrepreneurship and Business Management Competition, organized by Cheng Shiu University, began with a nationwide youth entrepreneurship camp in July. It attracted students to explore the business world and provided them with relevant competition training in the subsequent stages, including a total of four online courses and activities. This allowed high school students to acquire foundational knowledge in business studies and assess whether business-related fields align with their career interests.
On October 13, the preliminary competition saw the participation of 116 outstanding teams from various schools. After seven rounds of competition, 25 teams were selected to advance to the finals.
On October 27, the final competition took place, with teams selected from the junior high school and high school vocational groups in the preliminary rounds engaging in a total of 10 rounds of head-to-head matches. The top 5 students in terms of “net profit” were awarded cash prizes and certificates as a form of encouragement. Congratulations to Zhiguang Vocational High School for their excellent performance in the high school category and Gan Yuan Junior High School in the junior high school category.
