女企業家商業模擬大賽旨在鼓勵有抱負的人女企業家,並提供發展業務所需的技能。
With its main aim to promote Gender Equality (One of the SDGs of UN) in the Business environment, the competition will provide females with high-level insight into the dynamic business marketplace with a practical exercise of Data Analysis and AI Decision Support System (DSS) through Business Intelligence (BI), enhancing the experience of business management learning.
Participants will be encouraged to analyze and debate various important business issues within their teams. Each team must make decisions with long-term planning to stay ahead of its competitors. Additionally, participants will be provided with a challenging business marketplace and exposure to
showcase their business acumen and broaden their horizon who envision being an entrepreneur and leaders of tomorrow.:

Competition Format
This competition is a business simulation competition in a team format of 2-3 females to run a virtual enterprise competing with other virtual companies being run by other teams. The contestants are required to form their teams to join the competition.
The competition uses “MBS” software as the designated competition platform. Overseas teams would join the competition online and on-site for Hong Kong contestants at Hong Kong etropolitan University on Nov 19 2022.
The overall objective of the business, within this simulation scenario, is to achieve the highest score throughout four rounds of the game on a ‘balanced scorecard’ and the performance of interviews for the shortlisted teams by the judges. The balanced scorecard is designed to provide a summary of the overall business performance for a given period as well as measure the current profitability of the business.
The scorecard contains key elements which drive the total score for your team. The major element to evaluate each company’s performance is the net present value (NPV) for a certain period cumulated dividends and net income, other elements such as profit margin, current ratio or ROE, etc. will be described before the competition. (60%) The second part of the scorecard is the presentation after the simulation, the top 8 winning teams are required to prepare the presentation report to illustrate their business decision and observation from the marketplace, the score will be given based on the following criteria concerning the presentations: (40%)

Competition Rule
• Each team shall consist of min 2 or max 3 females
• Participating teams (HK & Overseas) will be divided into 5 groups
based on e-Balloting.
• Each team is required to submit a team photo of the size (1600 pixels x 800 pixels 72dpi – file size around 4.63M)
• The scoring KPI will be given in 1 week before the competition.
• The top highest score teams of each group after 4 rounds of the game can be progressed to the Grand Final.
• The second part of the Grand Final is the presentation after the game, five teams are required to prepare the presentation report to illustrate their business decision, and the score will be given by honorable judges based on their presentation performance.
• The final result is subject to the total highest score for the simulation game (60%) & presentation (40%).
• Online Participants are responsible for installing the required Zoom software on their devices and being within the coverage of the internet network allowing high-speed data transfer for smooth
Competition Synopsis
A participating company is composed of 2-3 females and the participants play the roles of planning, marketing, production, procurement, finance, and CEO, compete fiercely in the macro environment and micro environment set by the system, and pursue the maximum profit of the company as the goal of continuous efforts. They make their own judgments after carefully analyzing all the market information, operating statements and financial statements from inside and outside the company. Eight decisions for the management direction are required to submit into the system environment. In the process of mutual competition, the market situation changes immediately, the profits and losses of each enterprise are immediately realized, and all kinds of business reports and charts are
presented. Under the expectation of maintaining or improving the company’s existing market advantages and disadvantages, the report is re-analyzed and entered into another decision-making cycle goes on and on, and finally, the facilitator judges the performance and winners of the business according to a set of KPI scoring matrix.

The first MBS Female event was successfully held on 2022.11.19!
Including the Hong Kong team that participated directly at the Open University of Hong Kong offline, as well as other online teams from various regions, a total of 60 teams came from 7 cities, countries, and regions around the world. After transnational exchanges since September, online training in English, and In the practice match, outstanding female representatives from all over the world participated enthusiastically, and they have gained a lot from the process of learning and communicating.
The 2022 Female Entrepreneur Business Simulation Contest will be held in the morning preliminary round with MBS model 2. It will be divided into 4 groups for 5 rounds. The top 2 teams in each group and the top 8 teams will advance to the final. Minutes and 3 minutes for judges’ questions and answers. All teams performed very well. After fierce competition, the following three teams ranked in the top three, and each won bonuses and certificates.
